The China Gate Group has given us Hometown Cafe, Caravan Serai, Bora Bora, Global Fusion and Red Box Café and now unveiling the latest culinary delight 'Hai Bao'.

Hai Bao means 'sea treasures’ in Cantonese and reminiscent to its name it provides authentic dining experience with a personal Shabu Shabu pot installed at each table ensuring good times.
The Shabu Shabu, which we also like to call a Hot Pot or Steam Boat, originates from the landlocked country of Mongolia.

Over centuries, the Shabu Shabu has gone on to become a major form of cooking in China, Japan, Korea and Thailand.

The Shabu Shabu form of food preparation holds a simmering metal pot that will be filled with your choice of broth. A variety of raw ingredients like thinly sliced meat, sea food, an assortment of vegetables, fish balls, wonton, glass noodles and a lot more will be placed pleasantly around the Hot Pot. All you have to do is pick what you like and lob it into the Hot Pot.

As you swirl the ingredients quickly around the broth, you will hear it go “Swish-Swish”. And that’s where the Japanese name “Shabu Shabu” originates from.
