Gujarat Agro Infrastructure Mega Food Park

A Mega Food Park is essentially an Industrial park, specifically focused on the Food Processing Industry. It is established to facilitate food processing which aims at providing a mechanism to bring together farmers, processors and retailers and link agricultural production to the market.

The Gujarat Agro Infrastructure Mega Food Park is being set up under an initiative of Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI) with a Cluster development Approach. Govt of Gujarat too has recognized and approved the project as an industrial park. It has also signed an MOU with us in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2013 to facilitate external infrastructure/linkages.

The primary objective of our Mega Food Park is to facilitate establishment of integrated value chain, with processing at the core and supported by requisite forward and backward linkages. Other objectives:

1. Provide state of the art infrastructure for food processing in the area
2. Ensure value addition to agricultural commodities including poultry & dairy
3. Establish a sustainable raw material supply chain
4. Provide an institutional mechanism for producers, processors, and retailers to work together to build the supply chain

Salient features of our Project are:
o Approximately 70 acres of contiguous level land on borders of contiguous villages namely; Shah, Varsavi in ITDP notified area of Mangrol taluka of Surat district.
o Located on State Highway No 165.
o About 20 kms from Mumbai – Delhi National Highway No.8.
o Rail connectivity via Kim and Kosamba stations (22KM) on the Mumbai- New Delhi, Mumbai – Ahmedabad Rail Link
o Air connectivity- Airport at Surat (50 Km), Vadodara (121 Km), Ahmedabad (241 Km), Mumbai (321 Km).
o Port- Mumbai (321 Km), Hajira (50 km) Dahej (94 Km)
o In the midst of one of the largest F&V cluster in the State of Gujarat
o Sufficient availability of good quality water from Local Sources
o Work in progress at full swing
