Green Gram is set on the banks of the Periyar, the longest river in Kerala, the God’s Own Country. With painstaking effort to preserve the natural flora and fauna, we have built Green Gram around the trees on location, taking care to ensure that no tree is cut. The architecture at Green Gram is simple and retains the age old Kerala charm. You can choose to stay in our rooms & cottages amidst trees or in a boat house at the river’s edge. Green Gram offers wellness packages combining the essence of traditional healing methods like Ayurveda, Yoga, Sidha, Unani, Homœopathy and Naturopathy. On arrival, we start with a one-on-one consultation to understand the individual’s energy constitution or Prakriti. Ayurveda teaches that each individual is unique and needs to be understood thoroughly to identify the root cause of the ailment. After determining the Prakriti of the guest, a wellness programme is created catering to the individual’s need. The programme includes therapies, diet, Yoga, meditation and travelling to make the guest energetic and rejuvenated. Upon departure, we suggest a lifestyle that will continue to benefit the person. Guests take home tips, dietary recommendations and medication to maintain the current equilibrium of their doshas.
