Gram Vikas Shikshya Niketan

Gram Vikas Sikshya Niketan School was established on 15th Aug 1998. Most of the children are from remote places and, often, extremely backward areas without any road connection and electricity. Increasing enrollments every year in the school clearly indicate that people appreciate the school working for the overall development of the children. The emphasis on “Joyful Learning” plays an important role in attracting more children. The aesthetics of the school environment with child friendly infrastructure and the overall cleanliness and decor of the school make it an attractive destination.
Most of these communities do not believe that education is a proven tool by which the children can lift themselves out of abject poverty. Education for the children in marginalized communities is often perceived as an urban luxury and children are encouraged to contribute to the family kitty with manual work. Completing school is a major hurdle for girl children as their families push them into marriage at very early age. These factors tend to push education on the back burner.
