The historical Motibaug Palace, built as a guesthouse to compliment the Lukshmi Villas, is infact an older monument than the famed Lukshmi Villas itself. Possibly built initially to house all the British architects & engineers who built Lukshmi Villas, this palace in the 1950-60’s was also the residence to HH Pratapsinhrao Gaekwad.
This 15,000 sq ft home has now been converted to become the Main clubhouse of GBGC. The open verandah on both the ground & first floor open up onto the golf course. This clubhouse will now house a well stocked Pro-shop, a verandah Café lounge, a conference room & a fine dinning multi-cuisine restaurant on the upper floor. This apart, the club’s account’s office, the reception front desk & the President’s office will complete all the facility of this historical monument.
