Fort Awagarh

Awagarh a town of many colours and contrasts, it is best explored as a leisurely pace, and natural beauty, as there is so much to see and do that you cannot justify it by a usual taxi or bus tour.
Here stands this 108 acre pristine fort of a long forgotten kingdom of jadon rulers of the Kashtriya clan, who after migration from karauli had build this magnificent fortress in 1206 (according to Vikramaditya’s calendar) on a tiny mound, claming the biggest moat encircling around it, surrounded by lush green fields. And maintaining a constant vigil over this jewel is Lord Laxmi-Narayan age old temple, is an ideal destination for nature lovers and a perfect getaway from a chaotic city life.
