English E.Teach

English E.Teach is a project by the The Bombay Community Public Trust; which aims at empowering the less privileged youth for inclusive opportunities in India’s growth by reducing the inequality they face due to lack of proficiency in English.

Our Prime Objective is to empower the children who attend the vernacular medium schools to become job-worthy or qualify for higher studies.

Along the way, we also wish to save the existing and vast infrastructure, including the teaching staff of the vernacular schools from being annihilated - and align them with the best practices followed by the other Non-English speaking countries (Germany, Japan, Holland…) where all subjects are taught in the mother-tongue in the primary schools, while simultaneously teaching English as a separate stand-alone subject. Thus, laying a strong foundation and understanding of each subject as also developing the skill to communicate in English - the language which has now almost become a pre-requisite for getting any decent job.

We help the vernacular schools to teach English as per the existing prescribed English syllabus (page-by-page), using their existing Teachers, in existing free / low-fee schools, to existing students, during the existing English class period. This is achieved through the use of DVDs which are custom-made to teach the prescribed Maharashtra Govt English syllabus, page by page. These DVDs are promoted and distributed by us at free of cost to the schools or institutions that are interested in collaboration.
