The course was started under Technical Education Board (TEB), Gandhinagar and now it is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad.

Initially, course was started with intake of 60 students and from the year 2008 the intake incresed to 120 students with Morning and Evening shift with 60 studnets in each shift.
