DAV Public School (Hindi: दयानंद एंग्लो वैदिक विद्यालय, रौर्केला) also known as Dr. A.N.K. DAV Public School is one of the oldest pre-primary to higher senior secondary school in the steel township of Rourkela.The School was established under pilot project of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi in the year of 1966 and is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

Firstly D.A.V. Roukela exists because of Swami Dayanand and Mahatma Hansraj. Also it was the dream project of Dr. A.N. Khosla to spread literacy in the nook and corner of Odisha. So the credit goes to him and so is the name of the school. So stands the magnificent building of the school providing literacy with a good infrastructure and faculty here in the heart of Rourkela.

The DAV building was inaugurated by Dr. Triguna Sen , the then Minister of Education , Government of India on Friday, 6th September 1968 .
Dr. A. N. K. DAV Public School , Rourkela was founded on 21st November 1990 and inaugurated by Prof. Veda Vyasa, the Ex-president of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi.

The school has nearly more than 2500 students from class I to XII, having science streams at senior secondary level.
It prepares the students of class X and XII for CBSE examinations AISSE and AISSCE.
The school has a primary resource room, science laboratories, computer rooms with LCD and OHP facilities, playgrounds and gardens and a library.

School hours Monday through Friday are 7:30 to 1:30. Saturday hours are 7:30 to 11:30. Students must reach school by 7:20. A standard school day comprises eight periods of 45 minutes each. Kindergarten classes have different hours and seniors have extra classes.
