Welcome to Dr. Y. C. James Yen Rural Polytechnic Kuppam.Dr. Y. C. James Yen Rural Polytechnic, Kuppam is the first technical institution located in an impressive picturesque and serene setting at Kuppam, Chittoor Dist. Kuppam is a Tri-junction of Andhra Pradesh, TamilNadu and Karnataka states.

The institute is located in the Gudupalli Mandal of Kuppam Assembly Constituency. Establishment The Institute Dr. Y. C. James Yen Rural Polytechnic, Kuppam, Chittoor Dist is sponsored and managed by Kuppam Rural Electric Co-operative Society Ltd., (KRECS), Kuppam , a Govt. of India undertaking. It was opened on 14-12-1998.

The institution is the brain-Child of the KRECS Ltd., Kuppam. This Polytechnic is the only technical institution in the entire state functioning under the cooperative sector with financial contribution from the Govt. of A. P. and KRECS Ltd, Kuppam. The Administrative and Academic blocks ,Hostel Buildings and Play Grounds are Constructed in an extent of 25.35 acres of land .Spacious and well ventilated buildings consisting of classrooms ,Laboratories, Workshop, Library, Hostels and Play Grounds are fully equipped and established.

The initial investment of Rs.115.2 Lakhs was funded by the KRECS Ltd., Kuppam. The Govt., has sanctioned an amount of Rs.1Crore under Janmabhoomi scheme.
