Dr. Surya Prakash Patidar is a Consultant Neurologist based in Rajasthan, with almost a decade of experience in clinical practice. He specialises in several areas of Neurology including epilepsy, stroke (paralysis), headache and other neurological disorders. He is available for consultation at several clinics and hospitals, in Jaipur as well as in the nearby towns of Sikar, Bharatpur and Tonk.

Dr. Patidar completed his MBBS in 2001 from SMS Medical College in Jaipur and went on to obtain an MD in Paediatric Medicine from JLN Medical College, Ajmer, in 2006. He was then posted as a senior resident in the Paediatric ICU at Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital (SDMH), Jaipur in 2006-2007, and later in the Department of Paediatrics at the Fortis Escorts Hospital, Jaipur, in 2007-2008. He then chose Neurology as his super-speciality and obtained a postdoctoral DM degree in Neurology from the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, in 2011.

Dr. Surya Patidar has considerable knowledge and exposure in all aspects of neurology, gained through his extensive training and experience. During his neurology training, he handled a variety of cases including epilepsy, headache, movement disorders, stroke, CNS infections and malignancies, developmental, cognitive and behavioural disorders, sleep and nerve disorders, neuromuscular transmission and skeletal muscle issues. He is adept at managing neurological emergencies and complications including stroke, status epilepticus, status migrainosus, myesthenic crisis and Guillain-Barre Syndrome, amongst others. He is well-versed with all electrophysiology laboratory techniques such as EEG, NCS, EMG, RNS, late and blink reflexes, evoked potentials and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation processes. Further, Dr. Patidar has adequate experience in neuroradiology and neuropathology techniques. In addition, he has been involved in botox treatment, having independently given botulinum toxin injections related to spasticity, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, cervical dystonia and writer's cramp.

Dr. Patidar has also been actively involved in the area of training, having taught post-graduates and undergraduates for three and six years respectively. He has actively participated in inter- and intra-departmental teaching programmes and has represented the department of neurology in bi-annual clinical society meetings organised on a regular basis. In addition to his clinical work and academic assignments, Dr. Patidar has contributed research-based articles and papers, which have been either published in peer-reviewed journals related to his profession, or presented at conferences and various symposia across the country.
