From the Principal's Desk,

DPS Meerut would like to share her views on education with you. I feel that as life is long and school years are short so we must carry the responsibility of shaping the lives of our students with sincerity and utmost devotion. The students of Delhi Public School, Meerut are a cut above all others. It is expected that they will conduct themselves in a dignified manner whether in school or outside. They will be identified as Girls and Boys of character. This commitment to themselves and to their nation should be their uppermost priority. They will be harbingers of change. I sincerely hope that my students will continue to brighten the school’s name in the forthcoming years.

I wish to establish a deep understanding and rapport between the parents and the school through this website. Parents are requested to refer to it regularly, as information will be updated from time to time. This website will give you a glimpse of the school’s academic programme, assessment policy, plethora of activities and the school calendar. We strive to create an ideal academic environment where in we teach, develop and help each student to actualize his potential and his latent talents. A balanced approach towards academics and co-curricular activities completes the picture of holistic development at DPS Meerut. Inter DPS events and competitions for cultural activities and sports meets, provide exposure and challenge to our talented and sports loving students to prove their merit and mettle.

I would expect the parents also to understand our philosophy and become partners in the progress of the school and with your active participation and unstinting support the school will keep up its ascent and will scale new peaks in the forth-coming years.

The education process is dynamic and has revolutionized; children are well exposed global phenomena affect one and all, with this, the role of a teacher has become all the more crucial and even challenges the pedagogy. It is required of a teacher to create equilibrium between the material or physical needs of a child and his moral obligations.

Further, with the cut throat competition becoming the order of the day there is less scope for average performers. As a student, the prime duty of each is to amass all possible knowledge from all accessible sources. This requires attention to and application of the taught items and be a keen observer of things happening around. Remember, there is no ersatz to hard work and it is only hard work that pays in the long run.

And, finally the success of our efforts is due to the trust reposed in the Principal and the school by the parents, well wishers and friends, along with their unstinted cooperation and philanthropic approach because of which the school has reached this pinnacle of glory.
