The Department of Information & Public Relations acts as an important channel between the State Government and the people of the state. The department is constantly working towards the dissemination of information to the people in regard to policies, public welfare decisions, schemes of the government. The main responsibility of the department is to publicize these schemes to ensure that maximum number of people avail the optimum benefits of these schemes. Apart from this, it is also an important work of the department to inform the government about the public grievances and public reaction. The public welfare schemes of the State Government publicised through different means of media including press releases, display advertisements, special articles, exhibition, publications, short films, press conferences, electronic and print media.
