In 2001, a bunch of CETians attended IIT B's Mood Indigo and fresh from the excitement of it, wondered why they shouldn't organize a similar mindblowing cultural extravaganza in CET...

After all they felt that Kerala wanted a cultural fest that it fully deserves to be proud of...! So, on one mid-summer afternoon, under a tree in the Museum campus, DHWANI was born! And the rest is history!!!
