The Department of EEE has been a pioneer in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with core Research and Development in Power Apparatus and Systems. The Department offers one UG programme and two PG programmes. Research programmes in full time and part time are offered in the various PG specializations of Electrical Engineering.
The department adopted an industry oriented curricula and syllabus. The School has adopted credit based course curricula, syllabus is industry-oriented and excellent industry-academia interaction is promoted. The major areas of faculty expertise of the department include Power Quality, Power Systems, Artificial Intelligence Techniques, Biomedical Engineering, Communication Systems, Computer Networks, Control Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Flexible AC Transmission Systems, Image Processing & Computer Vision, Instrumentation, Microgrids, Smart Grid, Renewable Energy Systems, Power Electronics, Power Electronics Drives and Control, Energy Conservation & Management.
