Punjabi university has started a new department headed by Dr.S.M.Verma offering three years BSc. In Hospitality and Hotel Management The Dept. was officially inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor on 17 september 2010 Classes have already been started from 23 August 2010 with a temporary arrangement in coffee house of the University & the dept. has well experienced faculty with good industry background The course curriculum is similar as per the National council for Hotel Management &Catering Technology, Noida

The course subjects include Food &Beverage production/Food and Beverage service/Housekeeping/Front office and various other allied subjects The students are given hands on practical training as per the requirement of hotel industry.
