Department of Management Studies (DMS) also known as DMS Jodhpur, is a business school under State University Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur in North-western state of Rajasthan, India. DMS has been nurturing Management education and research since its inception as a formal means of education in India since 1968. MBA Course was started in 1968 under the aegis of Department of Commerce by Late Prof. D N Elhance. In 1989-90 a separate Department of Management Studies was created and the responsibility of MBA course was entrusted to it. Jodhpur MBA is one of the earliest MBA Program to be started in India and a contemporary of IIMs. It has been a pioneer department and first University in INDIA.
