Department of Architecture, NIT Raipur

In the spring of 1984, department of architecture emerged as a part of the then Government Engineering College Raipur with an intake of 20. In 2005, GEC Raipur turned into National Institute of Technology, Raipur (NIT Raipur).The department took its present shape in 2010 with intake of 62.

It stands as a centre of creativity within the campus of NIT Raipur. Department is bound to give its best to the university and society, in the form of unparalleled architects. These architects would be able to carve out spaces out of the space and engrave the build forms. Besides from being an architect, they will be adequate as social engineers, dream developers, and scientists of buildings.

Day by day the demand of Architectural professionals is increasing in the society. The endeavour of the department is to deliver these professionals to work for comfort of mankind. For that department is having an enlightening experience of more than 33years. It has a great strength of 700 alumni.
