Gurgaon conjures up an image of an oasis in the rocky and barren terrrain in a place of Guru Dronacharya an ancient guru in mahabharata time in foot hills of aravali mountain range, a tranquil retreat. During Winter, the aravali hills plays host to various migratory birds, the most important being the siberian crane.

The aim of DAGO's training is to develop qualities of leadership, management skill and command, through well structured curriculum of indoor and outdoor subjects. Outdoor activities with focus on combat training . through various specialized modules facilitates required physical endurance ,professional skills,discipline and team spirit where an indoor training helps in optimizing potential of trainees mental capabilities to make him competent and dependable commander with leadership qualities and high value system with pride in uniform and conduct filled with confidence to command and lead a company efficiently.

The academy has come long way and developed manifold since its inception. Today, the academy has excellent infrastructure which is used for all round development of trainee officers and in service officers who visit us to undergo various command related courses. The training activities at academy not only transform a civilian into a physically tough and mentally robust person ,but also instill in him the high values of character building and a sence of responsibility. .To achieve these objectives ,personality development ,bonding with colleagues ,team building ,sportsmanship,social etiquettes and all that goes in the making of a fine well groomed gentelman officer are emphasized during training . The CRPF Academy today is one of the finest training institution for officers of all police forces in sub continent as it has the privilege of hosting the first ever course of FPU, TOT under the aegis of UN in which trainers from 11 countries and trainees from 23 countries have participated.
