Coir Co - Operative Society, Anathalavattom

Anathalavattom Coir Co-Operative Society were registered on 14-03-1980 and started its function on 21-03-1980 under Kerala Co-Operative Society Act 1969. There are 280 members in this society. The number of workers in society is around 100, where 90% of them are women.
The Society concentrated mainly on production of Coir Yarn. It is one of the biggest coir production unit in Thiruvananthapuram District in Kerala State. The main object of the society improve the economic condition of workers and regular work to them.
The society is located in Anathalavattom, Chirayinkeezhu Panchayath (Trivandrum Dist.)

General Body is the ultimate authority in the policy matters. Among the G.B. they elect a Board which consist 7 members. The day-to-day functions of the society is controlled by Mr. Asokan. V (Secretary), Mr. D Sadhanandan (President), Mr. G Biju (Business Manager).
The Society offers public to visit and learn the functions of society who are interested in coir production.
