Chinmaya Vidyalaya

It is the farsighted vision of Pujya Gurudev H.H.Swami Chinmayananda that has created an awareness among the people of the world about the rich cultural heritage and glorious traditions of this great nation. Over five decades Pujya Gurudev with his tireless, continuous, selfless efforts and a rare energy brought the mission into a very big movement keeping the needs of the people.

“Catch them young” was the vision of Pujya Gurudev in starting these Vidyalayas to provide basic orientation in the cultural heritage of Bharat besides secular education as in other schools. Thus this is a school with a difference.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro Steel City was started in 1977 with 9 staff members and 300 students. Today it is a reputed & prestigious institution having a unique place in Jharkhand with over 2700 students and 99 teaching staff. It is truly emerging as a nurturing ground for leadership and is becoming synonymous with practical meaningful value and activity based education. It is attracting students across the globe.

The school is affiliated to Central Board of Education, New Delhi. The medium of instruction is English. It has classes Nurery (3+ ) to +2 (17 years). The present Vidyalaya is housed in 8 acres land amongst sylvan surroundings with modern amenities & infrastructure. Indeed it will serve as a spiritual centre to mould & march out the new generation of men and women who will grow to have great moral stature & ethical beauty.
