Chinmaya Mission College & CIMAT

Chinmaya Mission College had a very humble beginning on 12th August 1975 with His Holiness Swami Dayananda Saraswathi inaugurating the same at Sakthan Thampuran Palace, in Thrissur town. There, our institution grew to such heights, not only in quality but also even in quantity than a regular affiliated college under the University of Calicut. It got shifted to our permanent building at Chinmaya Gardens, Kolazhy Panchayath in 1993 when H.H. Swami Mridananda of Sri Ramakrishna Mission rendered the inauguration. In 1997, our college was the first among the reputed institutions in Thrissur to impart computer education as value added course.
The college celebrated its silver jubilee in the year 1999-2000 and the present strength is 2400. At present the college conducts regular classes for BCA, B.Sc. Computer Science, MBA, MCA under Bharathiar University, Plus Two under Kerala State Open School, B.A. Economics, BSc. Maths, B.Com., BBA, M.Com., under Counselling Centre status of School of Distance Education, University of Calicut.
