CHENGAROOR CHURCH

The St. George Orthodox Church, Chengaroor often called as Chengaroor Pally(ചെങ്ങരൂര്‍ പള്ളി) is the first church consecrated by St. Gregorios of Parumala (Parumala Thirumeni) because of this people calling this church as first daughter of Mar Gregorios.. The Church’s social, charity and religious activities make the church famous. This gracefulness stage has been keeping by the way of commitment, believe and social responsibility. At present 680 families are registered under this church and functioning 14 prayer groups, 7 Sunday Schools, 4 youth leagues etc. His Grace Dr Zacharia Mar Theophilos, 14 priests and one nun are the fragrant of our church.

Rev.Fr. Varughese Chacko Vanchipalam is leading the church as Vicar and Adv. V.A. Joseph, Vazhayil and Mr. Rajan Abraham, Puthiyaveettil is holding the place of trustee and secretary respectively. This church is the one of the biggest and oldest one under Niranam Dioscese and fully working under the Malankara Metropolitan and Catholicose of the East.
