Centre for Cognitive Activities (CCA)

Initially the official science club of NIT Durgapur, CCA now is a non-profit organisation comprising 75 odd tech enthusiast students from 2nd through 4th year. Bulk of the extracurricular activities held in the college all the year round are organised by CCA , with the objective of probing the dark recesses of human mind so that the grey cells are stimulated to create , conceptualize and evolve, triggering a rebellion of the new age mind against baseless conventions and meek acceptance. Numerous workshops and lectures are organised, thus introducing the students to new vistas in the field of technology.
One of the main of all the year-long activities of the club is the convention of the Annual Techno-Management fest of the college, Aarohan, which incidentally happens to be the second largest of its kind in Eastern India. Started in the year 2003, it has been leading the light of instilling a culture of science, technology and innovation among the youth of the nation. With more than 40 events covering all genres of technology and management, Aarohan brings some of the best solutions for the mankind to the fore.
