The Centre for Research and Development Policy (CRDP) is a Srinagar based non-profit research, trainings, and development policy organization registered under the Jammu and Kashmir Registrar of Societies Act-VI of 1998 (1941-AD).
The centre was established in 2008 to fill the gap of a policy think tank for carrying out cross-sectoral research leading to policy analysis and policy formation. It offers trainings, conducts workshops, lectures and seminars with government officials, high impact civil society actors, students and scholars, NGO community and corporates, in capacity building, disaster management, monitoring and evaluation, fund raising and program formation, conflict management and ethical leadership building.
The centre, first of its kind in the region, also aims to create a space for fellowships/internships for students and scholars to help nurture a vibrant academic environment for critical research and knowledge exchange for local and outside scholars, social activists and development practitioners.
Over the last couple of years, the centre has been carrying out research on land and water politics, India and Pakistan peace process, cross border trade, besides civil society and youth related issues in Kashmir.
