Casa dos Gamas

Casa dos Gamas is a unique project created, conceptualised and promoted by Liane da Gama, a Special Educator by profession. With 15+ years in the field of Social Consciousness she has decided to make a step into the commercial world, to create possibilities to sustain a Centre that she has created for young people with special needs. In the world today, all enterprises have to be independent and not depend solely on donations.
To facilitate this she has promoted CDG which will have a Coffee Shop/Cafe, a meeting/ conference space and an Art Space/gallery. Through this she intends to have a 2 pronged approach to generate profits that she will use to sustain the social project as well as to create possibilities to employ young people with disabilities. Liane believes in equal opportunity and employment and hopes to make this a unique model.

This name strives to encompass the essence and beauty of a Portuguese home that has been transformed into an oasis of peace, self discovery and creativity.
This is a space where you can come to have a coffee, eat a snack, admire art on the walls, conduct a workshop, attend a workshop or walk around the organic vegetable garden. It will emanate not only a sense of calm, but also a sense of excitement where many ideas will be shared, new friendships created, new experiences felt.
The cafe/coffee shop is situated in a Portuguese styled space with a pleasingly landscaped garden where you will be welcomed by the smiling faces of the staff.
The inner lounge space can be rented out for small parties and gatherings or for people and groups that may not want to sit inside.
There is also space available for art displays, workshops and exhibitions. The same will be in the areas of Art, Music, Wellness and Gardening among others.
The organic garden in the backyard is being developed as a space where one could try their hand at gardening, attend a workshop being conducted or stop by to purchase vegetables straight from the garden.

Casa dos Gamas hopes to be a place where the quietness of Zen and the experience of enlightenment and giving light come together. The launch date will be announced soon.........
