Camp Walnut is Rich in flora & fauna and surrounded by dense forests, habitat for a large number of animals like the Himalayan langoor, porcupine, wild pig, monkey, barking deer, black capped marten, and brown flying squirrel.
One can also hear the humming of a large number of birds around. Jungle crow, streaked laughing thrush, grey winged black bird, house sparrow, the Himalayan tree creeper, house crow, green backed tit, and night jar can be seen around.
