BSF Polytechnic, New Delhi

Eligibility Criteria :

In order to be eligible a candidate should have passed 10th class of 10+2 pattern or equivalent of 51% aggregate or equivalent grade of 51 to 60 % in science and math’s and it cannot be less than 41%-50% that is math and science in one sitting.
In order to be eligible a candidate should be a ward of any retired, serving or deceased of BSF personnel and ward of education fund employees.
In order to be eligible the age of the candidate should be between 15 to 21 years and the upper age limit in respect to SC and ST candidate can be relaxed by five years.
SC and ST candidate who have obtained a minimum pass percentage in science and math can apply for diploma courses.


Admission Procedure :

Admission to the courses is fully based on the merit of the marks obtained in class tenth of ten plus two which is the grading system or any equilent.
In any case the SC and the ST quota remains vacant due to non availability of category, then it can be interchanged from SC to ST and vice versa and then by wards of windows.
In any case if the sufficient number of eligible application from different reserve are not received then these seats will be filled up by the merit list of general candidates.
The documents that are required to submit along with the application forms are as follows tenth and twelfth marks sheet along with provisional marks certificate, transfer certificate from their respective school or college last studied, health certificate issued by the medical officer or registered medical practitioner stating that the candidate is not suffering from any chronic disease, character and attendance certificate issued by the last school or college last attended.
All the above documents need to be produced during the time of counseling; failing to produce this candidate will not be admitted.


Facility and Infrastructure :

There is a hostel facility available only to the eligible male candidates. Except for the candidates whose parents or guardians who have been provided with married accommodation or granted outliving permission in Delhi.
Such wards will be admitted to the institution as day scholars.
Candidates who are doing diploma courses, their messing charges will be borne by their parents, irrespective of their rank. Only the wards of widows will be will be met out of central education fund up to 600 rupees.
As there is no hostel facility available for girls, they have to make their own arrangements for accommodation.
