The sustainable aspect of BIHT, increasing job opportunities and contributing to socio-economic development, is not the only way to present the Hotels-School model.
This new approach of hospitality training intends to meet all stakeholders’ expectations from unemployed youth to responsible travellers and professional partners. It gives a role to the different actors of the value chain including hotels, tour operators, development agencies and the Bhutanese government. Moreover, it creates local service excellence by mixing Buthanese culture with international standards allowing the guest to dive into a true indigenous experience while feeling home.
The objectives of BIHT are therefore multiple:
Enable younger generations to receive professional training and integrate the labour market;
Supply quality staff to the hotels, contribute to the professionalization of the hospitality services in Bhutan and comply with the high standards required;
Offer the tourists the opportunity to participate actively to the sustainable economic development of the country.
