Bodhana Tiruvalla

Bodhana (Tiruvalla Social Service Society) is a nonprofit secular voluntary organization founded in 1972 and committed to the sustainable development of the marginalized, from 4 civil districts of Kerala. The origin of Bodhana was the deep concern of Tiruvalla Malankara Catholic Archdiocese towards the poor and vulnerable sections of the society. It is registered as charitable society under society’s registration Act of Travancore Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act of 1955 (Reg No. 9/72) It is also registered as a Charitable Institution under section 12A (a) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Since the inception of Bodhana, it seeks sustainable solutions to long-term problems of poverty, hunger, illiteracy and ill health throughout the operational area, with special emphasis on the needs of rural villages. The society has been facilitating development process among the poor and vulnerable sections irrespective of their cast, creed, religion and political affiliations in partnership with various NGOs and community organizations and Kerala Government.
