Biswanath College

"BISWANATH COLLEGE" ,a premier college of Assam and located in an ideal setting,is all set to realize its potential as a seat of academic excellence in the years to come.This college holds a pride among academic institutions of the state particularly in the vast area of northern part of the river Brahmaputra.The college was established on 7th September,1960.Biswanath college was brought under defict system of grant-in-Aid by the Govt.of Assam on 01-04-1963.The science section was introduced with the beginning of Pre-University classes under Gauhaty University in the year 1970.Degree courses in science subjects started from 1976.The science section was brought under deficit system of grant-in-Aid on 01-01-1978.
