We cater to the needs of 2 diverse groups.
1. Patients: adults and children with movement (walking) problems. The commonest indication for gait analysis is walking problems in children due to cerebral palsy. Patients with Post-polio residual paralysis, stroke or neurological conditions will also benefit from gait analysis for treatment planning.
2. Athletes, runners and sports persons: Many recreational runners suffer from repetitive strains, over-use injuries and leg pain as a result of poor technique, muscle imbalance, muscle weakness, etc., A detailed biomechanical analysis of running represents the state-of-the-art in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries in runners and athletes. We also have expertise in injury prevention techniques in elite athletes and use advanced EMG (electro-myography) to analyse muscle activation patterns.
