That Bhadreswar Netradarpan welfare Foundation, an NGO was formed by some skilled persons related with ocular management, on 20th Feb. 2009, with vision of reduction of blindness. National Program for Control of Blindness (NPCB) was launched in 1976 with the same goal to reduce the prevalence of blindness from 1.4% to 0.3% by the year 2020, where we want to contribute with our limited capacity but unlimited will force. The focus of NPCB is specifically targeted towards providing services in rural/tribal and difficult areas which are financially backward. We also are concentrating our activity with the same frameon of reduction of blindness. We are organizing eye screening and awareness camps at various remote parts of West Bengal and patient required eye-surgery are being carried to Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Kolkata for surgery. We also arrange follow up treatment to the patients.(OUR ACTIVITY)

In February 15th to 18th 2012, we are organizing camps for eye screening and awareness for eye donation at Sundarban at the call of Sundarban Development Board (Govt. of west Bengal). A team of ophthalmologists from RIO will also attend these camps.(LATEST EVENTS)in the event field.

Now, we desire to open an Eye Collection Centre at Bhadreswar and necessary arrangement for accommodation along with all amenities i.e. voluntaries for 24 hours services, vehicle and 24 hour helpline number (033-26332027) has already been made. We have also discussed the matter with the Director of R.I.O, Kolkata who also recommended the name of our organization for this purpose (copy enclosed).(under news coloumn)
