Dr. Barkha - Pregnancy Care

Dr. Barkha's Pregnancy Care Centre is an initiative, aimed at pregnant mothers and expecting couples.

Antenatal Care or Pregnancy Care is very important in order to have a healthy pregnancy, safe delivery and proper new born care. Antenatal Care includes proper diet and nutrition for the pregnant mother, proper exercises that will keep the pregnant mother healthy, and help with a normal delivery. It also includes helping the expectant mother manage pregnancy pains, aches and discomforts that can be easily taken care of without having to run to your gynecologist for every little issue.

Antenatal Care also includes making the dad-to-be aware of the special emotional and physical needs of the mother-to-be, and preparing them for parenthood. It also includes helping the mother-to-be to prepare for labor, recognizing the signs, and managing delivery pain with relatively less trauma. It also includes educating the mother-to-be on taking care of the new born and proper breastfeeding technique.
