Batramane Homestay

Welcome to Bhattaramanay Pure Veg Homestay on the sacred Maragunda hill of Sakleshpur, Karnataka, India.

Located amidst the coffee and cardamom plantations of the Western Ghats, this little homestay is run by a family of priests who have lived on this hill performing the holy rites at the "Bettada Byreshwara" temple for over 150 years. Their hospitality is legendary and has to the experienced first hand to be believed.

The area is blessed with nature's bounty. There are plenty of sites to see, trek trails to go on, temples to visit and abundant silence and birdsong to soothe the weary city dweller's soul.

Perhaps the only threats to the beauty and sanctity of this place is the tree felling that is rapidly decimating the forests and the city dwellers who are discovering the beauty of this little village tucked away in the hills and are bringing with them their noisy polluting vehicles and plastic wrapped lifestyle.
