Basic Computer Course Central University of Tamil Nadu

BASIC COMPUTER COURSE (BCC):

The course is designed to aim at imparting a basic level appreciation programme for the common man. After completing the course the incumbent is able to the use the computer for basic purposes of preparing his personnel/business letters, viewing information on Internet (the web), sending mails etc. This allows a common man or housewife to be also a part of computer users list. This would also aid the PC penetration program. This helps the small business communities, housewives to maintain their small account using the computers and enjoy in the world of Information Technology.

This course is offered by CUTN under the aegis of Community College. The duration of the course is 6 Months. The course will be conducted for three days in a week from 6 to 8 pm, in the Central University of Tamil Nadu, Collectorate Annexe, Thanjavur Road, Thiruvarur-610004. On completion of the course, the candidates have to take the BCC Online Examination conducted by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Department of Electronics and IT, Govt. of India. The Course Completion Certificate will be issued by CUTN and Pass Certificate will be issued by NIELIT.

Computer Hardware, MS-Windows, MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, Internet, etc.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria: 10th Standard pass (upper age limit of 40 Years).

Medium of Instruction: English.
Maximum Intake: 40. The reservation norms of Govt. of India for Central Educational Institutions will be followed.
