In 2,260 meters above of sea level, Badhangarhi temple is situated 8 kms from the town of Gwaldam. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali and Lord Shiva and was erected during the Katyuri dynasty that ruled the region from 8th to 12th century. From the vantage of the temple, one can also get a panoramic view of some of the prominent peaks in Uttarakhand such as Nanda Devi, Trishul, Panchachuli to name a few.
