Ayurvedic & Unani Tibbia College, Karol Bagh

Ayurvedic & Unani Tibbia College is a historical institute.
Its uniqueness lies in the fact that two great systems of medicine namely Ayurvedic and Unani exist and prosper under one roof.
It was started as ‘MADARSA TIBBIYA’ in 1889 by Haziq-Ul-Mulk Hakim Abdul Majeed Khan
Later on this Madarsa Tibbia was converted & reestablished in a new building at Karol Bagh by Masih–Ul-Mulk Hakim Ajmal Khan
This is the ONLY medical college in history to have been inagurated by father of the nation MAHATMA GANDHI, on 13th February, 1921
The foundation stone of this campus was laid by the then Viceroy of India, Lord Hardinge on 29th March, 1916.
The buildings in this campus are a fusion of style in vogue at that time viz.,Colonial, and Mughal styles.
It also symbolises the recognition of Ayurvedic & Unani Medical Sciences by the British Government
Being affiliated to the delhi university &delhi govt. , the institution provides both undergraduate & post graduate courses... one of d premier institutes in its league
