AIM AND OBJECT OF THE AOP:

1) To make best efforts for creating mutual harmony, co-operation and love & affection amongst the members.

2) To plan, promote and organize academic, scientific & research programs and social & cultural functions from time to time.

3) To plan, promote and organize seminars, conferences, workshops, lectures, continuing education programs, and meetings by distinguished individuals/ professionals who have made extraordinary contributions in their profession of optometry, ophthalmology, medical sciences, journalism, legal, humanity, commerce, etc.

4) To establish and organize medical charitable camps/ dispensaries for patients & public.

5) To make adequate arrangements for poor-widows, handicapped persons, orphans, old aged persons, mentally challenged persons and natural calamities/ disasters victims.

6) To publish books, e-books, magazines, e-magazines and other publications in print or electronically for the promotion, protection and advancement of members and others.

7) To arrange establish and open libraries, lecture rooms, reading rooms for the use of members and others.

8) To take up the matter with the competent authorities for the common interest of the members for providing and improving upon common facilities in the field of optometry or medical sciences or humanity.

9) To disseminate information about the Government Rules, policies, notifications among the members of the association.

10) To approach the concerned authorities for redressal of grievances of members of the association.
