ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Al Habeeb College of Engineering & Technology (AHCET) is a premier institution was established by the Al Habeeb Charitable Trust in the year 2002, with the vision to make an centre of educational excellence with professional and human values. The college is affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad, approved by AICTE and accredited by NBA. In addition to this the institution is also being certified ISO 9001:2008. The college is situated at Damergidda (V), Chevella (M) on the outskirts of Hyderabad - the pearl city of India.

In the decadal age of the institution the college has tremendous achievements in pedagogic, infrastructure and placements. AHCET is the first institution to develop intra-continental educational and cultural system in Hyderabad by promoting education for foreign students. It is certified under 'A' Category of colleges by JNTU-Hyderabad. It is also the first college to introduce Petroleum Engineering in the Hyderabad and SVU region and is the first to publish its own research journal by name ‘Cognizance’.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZING DEPARTMENT

The Department of Petroleum Engineering, established in 2011, is the pioneer centre of quality teaching and advanced research in the Petroleum Academia Industry. AHCET has introduced “4 Year B.Tech. in Petroleum Engineering” course for the first time in Hyderabad and SVU regions for the benefit of the national and international students who are willing to pursue a career in the oil & gas industry. Students from across India and neighboring countries like United Arab Amirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Yamen are moulded through extensive training to be the professionals in the E&P Industry of tomorrow.

Our faculty are the proud alumni of premier institutions like ISM, Dhanbad; IIT, Kanpur; IIT, Mumbai; NIT, Warangal; UPES, Dehradun; JNTU, Anantpur and State University of Lvov, Ukraine. Our faculties and students are members of various professional societies like SPE, SPG, SEG, IGU, IGC, ISCA, SPWLA, PetroTech and many more. Our department has been awarded with the “Education Leadership Award 2013” during the 21st Dewang Mehta Business School Award Ceremony held in Mumbai.

The department feels proud for getting the opportunity to organize the National Level Technical Fest – “ASSIDUOUS” – Where Talent Meets Talent this year.

ABOUT THE TECHNICAL FEST

AHCET organizes its National Level Technical Fest every year for providing a platform to the young engineering students from all over the country to interact with each other. Here the students from different disciplines like Computer Science & Engineering (CSE); Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE); Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE); Mechanical Engineering (ME); Civil Engineer (CE); Petroleum Engineering (PE) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) will get an opportunity to exhibit their technical skills in their respective disciplines. This year the Department of Petroleum Engineering is organizing this fest with the help of students, faculty and stuff of other departments.
