Eminent packaging professionals and academicians, researchers will converge from Asia Pacific Regions at Mumbai during the Congress to highlight various aspects of the current Asian packaging scenario in terms of strategies, emerging technologies, prospects and growth opportunities, and impact on consumers' mind as well as economic growth.

The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is a National apex body set up in 1966 by the packaging and allied industries and the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India with the specific objective of improving the packaging standards in the country. The Institute is having its Head Quarters at Mumbai and branches located at Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai. Upcoming centres at Guwahati, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Kakinada, are in the process of establishment. The institute has recently completed its Golden Jubilee on14th May 2016.
The diversified activities of the Institute encompasses the entire spectrum of packaging which includes research & development, education, training, testing, information, consultancy, exhibitions, designs, publication, library and database services.

The Asian Packaging Federation (APF) a non-profit organisation established in Tokyo, Japan in 1967, unites the packaging interests of all trade and Industries in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond under one co-o perative umbrella . The APF Secretariat is presently located at Indian Institute of Packaging and the Institute is hosting this Congress.
