Army Public School, Hempur

APS Hempur was started as a primary school in the year 1974 by Ms B. Kothiwala D/O Col P J Kothawala Commandant, Remount Training School Hempur till 1979 and then upgraded to Junior High School in 1982. It further gained strength and recognition and became a secondary school in 1985. Two years later, it became full fledge senior secondary school. Since then the school has not looked back but made rapid strides, not only in the field of academics but in the extra curricular spheres as well.

The school was registered under the society registration act in 1981. Thereafter, it has been affiliated to All India Central Board Of Secondary Education New Delhi. The school has risen to its present stature by its own merit. From the sapling which it was in 1980, the school has bloomed into a full fledged institution following the 10 + 2 pattern. At present the school is providing quality education to about 1000 children of this area. The school is catering for science, commerce, Home science, Computer Science & Physical Education up to class XII.

Set amidst verdurous surroundings and literally far from the madding crowd, the school campus boasts of 11 acres of greenery. The aloofness of the school may give it the feel of a Gurukul but technology invasion in preponderance make it a high tech Gurukul, where IT shakes hands with Indian beliefs, customs and traditions.
