In the present scenario apart from the nobility of the profession there are economic considerations to be looked upon by the veterinarian to contribute to overall economy of the country. In the last financial year we witnessed the agricultural growth of around 4%. Out of this maximum contribution was from livestock sector (around 30%). Focus on this primary sector had been there since from independence keeping in view the egalitarian nature of the Indian society.To develop this sector and to ensure food security the role of private sector had been felt.
