Anandam

Anandam, is a modest three room home stay located in Heeru village, Jogiwara Road, Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh state, India.

Anandam is an initiative by Siladitya Chakrabarti.

This three room home stay promises to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The purpose is to support the local family and in the process generate employment to the village people.

Anandam - experience true Bengali hospitality in the Land of the Himalayas, a vacation to remember and services and ambiance to cherish.

All three rooms are elegantly decorated with wall to wall carpet and have private balconies with magnificent view of the mountains and the village, attached washroom with geyser and shower curtains. To consume less electricity and focusing on Green environment, we have customized and installed LED powered bulbs for better lighting.

Room heaters are available on request and are charged extra.

The terrace is a common area with a LCD, music system and an informal seating arrangement. Seasonal flowers and plants beautify the place.

Food is available in house and is either cooked by the landlady and her family or our own cook, who will tantalize your taste buds with his cooking techniques.

The silence of the place and the cool breeze or the sun rays will amaze you while the place is approx 10 minutes walking distance from His Holiness Dalai Lama's temple and the main tourist place, Mcleodganj.

If you are looking for a cool place away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area yet a stone's throw from the main place, Anandam is the right place for you to enjoy your vacation.

Take a walk in the village area, catch up a conversation with the local village families, even share your experiences with a family over a cup of chai / tea and see how traditional kitchen still exists in this modern world and their life simple but always with a smile.

Although the home stay has access to small vehicles, it is strongly advisable to park your respective vehicle/s in either the multi level parking area in Mcleodganj area and / or the road adjacent to the entrance of the village, to avoid and cause inconvenience to the local people.

Rooms are moderately priced and reservations are confirmed against receipt of 100% advance payment.
