AMU Girls HIGH School

Padam Bhushan Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, Popularly known as Papa Mian, and his wife Begum Waheed Jahan has decided to start a school for girls in Aligarh. Officially established in the year 1906 in a rented building in Aligarh Town. The Primary School was raised to a Middle School and moved in to its own building in Civil Linens Aligarh in the year 1914 . In 1921, it got the status of a High School and that of Intermediate College in 1938, Gradually it led to the development of a women�s College. As on date Women�s College, Senior Secondary School for Girls and AMU Girls� High School are three separate institutions running within single large premises.
