Amiit Bhardwaj comes from a family with a musical background. He started his singing training at the age of 10 years. He learnt Indian classical music from Pt. Kameshwar Pathak and Ramashray Pathak. As a child, Amiit excelled at various school competitions, an achievement he carried on till his college days. He also performed at various talent competitions, securing merit places in various cities like Mumbai, Patna, Jamshedpur, Allahabad, Nagpur and Bokaro.

In the earlier days of his career, Amiit worked as the lead singer of Synopsis band at Jamshedpur. He then moved to Mumbai in 2008 to refine his musical capabilities. Here he joined the Suresh Wadkar's Music Academy and continued training in Indian classical music. He also gathered training in keyboard under the guidance of Rowland D'Costa. Amit was then approached to work at an academy as a trainer in vocals and keyboard, where he worked for around 3 years.
