Amala Matriculation Higher Secondary School Was Founded In The Year1974 By The Franciscan Sister Of The Presentation Of Our Lady, Coimbatore, Who Have Successfully Established Themselves Over Many Years In The Field Of Education. Higher secondary course was started during 1993 in this school and since then centum results have been recorded.

The school has various cultural and academic associations. For discharging the responsibilities creditably the school has been divided into four groups namely SALETTE HOUSE, LORETTO HOUSE, NIRMAL HOUSE, FATHIMA HOUSE and JOSEPH HOUSE with students and staff representative as leaders.

To promote the social and emotional unity special days and festivals like Independence Day, Teachers Day, Republic Day, Deepavali and Christmas are celebrated. The young talents are identified and encouraged by organizing various inter school competitions in Quiz, Essay, Elocution, Singing, Dance, Fancy Dress, Fine Arts, Games and Sports.
