To promote the spirit of brotherhood and foster mutually beneficial interaction among the alumni, present students, scholars and faculties of University Department of Botany( Formerly known as P G Botany)

To identify and promote alumni success and achievements to advance the credibility and reputation of the department and undertake projects for development of society

To maintain, deepen and strengthen an enduring lifelong relationship between alumni and their alma mater through opportunities that promote interaction and engagement with TMBU

To initiate programme that will encourage alumni to identify themselves with the University; to generate and sustain interest and participation among the members to inspire alumni to contribute to the development of the department and the promotion of its good name and reputation, locally, nationally and globally.

To keep alumni informed and connected to TMBU through a comprehensive communications and social media programme that inspires open branches of Association in various parts, nationally and internationally.

To make the department self sustainable in creating scholarship funds to help the needy and deserving students.

To Institute prizes and awards for outstanding project work, research papers or other professional activity by the member and also to suitably recognize outstanding contribution to social and community service by the alumni and the students

To undertake and organise activities of philanthropic or charitable nature to increase public awareness towards higher education and skill development in the economic and social development of the nation and its impact globally.

To take all lawful steps for the attainment of above objectives and implementing them for benefit of the Institute and its alumni.

To take advantage of social media in achieving and propagating the aims and objects of the association.
