Are You A Sports ID Wearer?

A Sports ID tag or bracelet is the most essential wearable that you must carry at all times. It has the potential to save your life in an emergency. Possibility is that you may already be doing everything you can to take care of yourself but remember, ordering a Sports ID is a simple, yet invaluably effective intervention we all must consider, for the sake of our own selves and our loved ones.

Sports ID bracelets need not be elaborative but must provide the following information at a glance. All items must be engraved in bold in order of importance given below. Depending upon the space available on the bracelet, you can have all of the following mentioned or skipped.

Your name
Your date of birth
Contact name and phone number of either the spouse or parent
Your address
Your history of medical conditions (i.e. heart attack, stroke, diabetic)

Different Sports IDs can be worn on different occasions. For example, when running alone, one may wear a bracelet that has a descriptive version and during a daily work schedule, one may switch to a smart looking one that covers all basic details.

Using a generic ID that only highlights the medical condition or displays a medical symbol is not recommended because it is not specific enough in the event that you cannot speak, and may lead to delay or miss in sharing of first hand information about you to a doctor at hand or a family member who lives miles away.
