Varaha Swamy is the third incarnation (Avataar) of Lord Sri Maha Vishnu. As with all Vishnu incarnations, Swamy holds Chakram in the right hand and Shankham in the left hand. On the other two hands he holds Gada (mace) and Lotus. In Vaikhansam, there are three forms of Lord Varaha and they are Adi Varaha, YagnaVaraha and Pralaya Varaha. There are very few temples in the world that are dedicated to Lord Varaha Swamy. All aspects of Yagna (Sruk, Sruvam, Dharba etc)are embodied by YagnaVaraha Swamy and therefore is known as YagnaVaraha. The Supreme Lord YagnaVaraha Swamy is the adhidevatha for this Kalpam.
